Silencing The Inner Critic

No matter how confident we are, or how healthy our normal sense of self-esteem is, we all know we can experience times in our days and lives when that inner critical voice seems intent on reminding us that what we are doing and who we are, is never quite enough.

When we meet difficult times, this inner critic can all too easily ramp up, leaving us feeling stuck in a loop of negative self-talk and feelings of inadequacy that, if left unchecked, can significantly undermine our peace of mind, happiness and self-esteem.

In this half-day course with Kadam Adam – which is suitable for everyone – through talks and guided meditations, we will explore practical steps to turn down the volume on this inner critic in the here and now, and over time become free of it.

We will discover how this inner critical voice simply comes from a mistaken way of relating to ourselves. We will take a highly practical look at Buddhas’ profoundly liberating teachings, that enable anyone to experience the true nature and thereby potential of ourselves, that he called the emptiness of self.

We will learn how to practically apply these insights to our everyday lives, and discover how this opens the door to the freedom and confidence to become the person we wish to be, free of the burden of the inner critic, and thereby find an increasingly peaceful, happy life, from the inside-out.
