A Buddhist Perspective
The ability to take good care of ourselves is essential to living a genuinely happy life, free of the normal stress and anxiety that often comes with our modern lifestyles. However, it’s also essential if we are to consistently be there for, and take good care of others.
It’s all too easy in our busy lives – with the never ending demands of work, family and community life – that we neglect to step back from it all, and take some quality time and space to ourselves, often feeling guilty or selfish if we do.
In the special meditation workshop – with internationally renowned Kadampa Buddhist teacher Kadam Bridget Heyes – we will learn how, taking time out to rest, refresh, meditate and take good care of our mental and emotional well-being, is not only the best gift we can give to ourselves, but also the best gift we can give to those we love and everyone we meet.
