Healing Anxiety with Wisdom (Galway)

This meditation course explores how anxiety arises in the mind and how it can be gently healed through the wisdom and meditation practices of the New Kadampa Tradition. Rather than trying to suppress or escape anxious thoughts and feelings, we will learn to understand them clearly, relate to them wisely, and respond with inner stability and compassion.

Through guided meditations, teachings, and practical reflection, participants will learn how to calm the mind, recognise unhelpful mental habits, and cultivate peaceful states that naturally reduce anxiety. The course emphasises simple, accessible methods that can be used in everyday life, helping us build lasting inner confidence and emotional resilience.

Key takeaways –

– A clear understanding of what anxiety is from a Buddhist psychological perspective, and why it arises
– Practical meditation techniques to calm the mind and create inner space when anxiety appears
– Insight into how wisdom – seeing things more clearly, naturally reduces fear and overthinking
– Tools for developing a kinder, more patient relationship with anxious thoughts and feelings
– Simple daily practices to maintain mental peace beyond formal meditation
