Countryside Meditation Retreat – Making Real Change Possible
Enjoy a relaxing and inspiring weekend in the tranquil setting of Mount St. Anne’s Retreat Centre, Co. Laois, on this countryside meditation retreat with Kadam Adam, suitable for everyone.
About the retreat
Our experience of life – good day or tough day – is shaped largely by how we view ourselves and our lives.
Yet many of us, even after years of meditation, can still doubt whether real and lasting positive change – let alone enlightenment – is truly possible. Yet, it is!
On this retreat, Kadam Adam will share rare and profoundly liberating teachings and meditations on what Buddha called the ’emptiness of the mind’, revealing that our thoughts, feelings and beliefs about ourselves and life are not as fixed or unchangeable as they appear.
Discover how this wisdom can help us move beyond limiting mental and emotional habit patterns – including feelings of insecurity, stress, anger, anxiety or self-criticism – and help us to cultivate our inner potential for good qualities such as healthy self-esteem, connection, love and compassion.
Whether you’re new to meditation or have been practising for some years, we’ll take a fresh look at how to get the most from both meditation practice and everyday life to accomplish this.
We’ll also draw on the inspiration of the centuries long experience of Buddhist meditators, to see how anyone can harness the power of their imagination, re-envision living their best lives and continually shape a future of ever increasing inner peace, genuine happiness and meaning, as well as ability to be of real benefit to others.
About the weekend
The weekend starts with an introduction session at 7.30pm on Friday and finishes with lunch at 1pm on Sunday. During the breaks in the meditation sessions, you can take a peaceful walk in the surrounding countryside, or chat with the other people on the retreat, in what is always a warm, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere.
